""Day
without a Car" and "Week without Cars" campaigns are held on the
10th and 25th of each month, according to the Presidential decree dated March
25, 2026.
The purpose
of the campaign is to reduce harmful emissions from vehicles, reduce traffic
congestion and promote the use of public and environmentally friendly
transport.
The
National Committee on Ecology calls on government and non-governmental
organizations, as well as citizens, to take part in the campaign and, if
possible, abandon the use of cars in favor of public transport, bicycles,
electric vehicles and other environmentally friendly modes of transport.
At the same
time, the use of cars by government civil servants as part of the campaign
entails liability.
