On May 1 of this
year, at 9:41 PM, a report was received via the "112" system stating
that heavy rainfall in the Besharik district of the Fergana region caused
rainwater to flood the private plots (backyards) of more than 90 households in
some streets of the "Vorukh Dasht" and "Yangikurgon"
neighborhoods.
Regional units of
the Ministry of Emergency Situations, provincial and district administrations,
as well as relevant services, arrived at the scene immediately to begin
mitigation efforts. Currently, all necessary forces and resources have been
deployed, and the situation is under full control.
Most importantly,
there were no casualties resulting from the incident. At present, cleaning and
restoration works are intensively ongoing in the area, and the consequences are
expected to be fully eliminated shortly.
