This was reported by the
Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
It was revealed that the
pilgrims had planned their Umrah journey through the "Riyadh — Istanbul —
Shymkent — Tashkent" route using the services of private travel agencies
"Ikhlos Travel" and "Hikmat Travel." However, due to the
failure of these agencies to properly fulfill their obligations, the pilgrims
were left stranded abroad.
Negotiations were held with
the involvement of relevant authorities and the management of the
aforementioned travel firms. As a result, the citizens were provided with food,
transportation, and other necessary services during their stay in the transit
zone. Furthermore, the safe return of the pilgrims to Uzbekistan along the
agreed route was carried out under full supervision.
