Specialists of the Traffic Management Center coordinated the operation of traffic lights on the section from the Kuyluk Bridge through the territory near the Kuyluk Ota mausoleum to Uzbekum. The system works around the clock.
The measurements showed the result. If earlier, during the period without congestion, it took about 12-13 minutes to overcome this section, now it can be passed in about 9 minutes.
Thus, the time spent on the road was reduced by about 25%.
How does the green wave work?
The "green wave" does not mean that the traffic lights are always green at all intersections.
The traffic lights are synchronized so that the driver, moving at a set speed, can drive through as many intersections as possible at a green signal. This allows you to reduce the number of stops at red lights, make traffic more uniform and reduce travel time.
Ferghana Yuli Street is one of the main entrance transport corridors of Tashkent. In the direction of Kuylyuk, the city receives a significant flow of cars both from Tashkent itself and from the Tashkent region, after which transport is distributed towards the central part of the capital.
Therefore, even a few saved minutes on a 6-kilometer stretch are important not only for individual drivers, but also for a more even movement of the entire traffic flow.
Specialists will monitor the situation on the road during the day. If necessary, the operating mode of the traffic lights will be further adjusted.
