This was
announced by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of
Uzbekistan, Director of the Cinematography Agency Jahongir Akhmedov.
"The
next task is to pay off the accumulated wage arrears to employees, which exceed
3 billion soums. This debt is also planned to be paid off.
The most
serious issue remains Uzbekfilm's loan commitment of 22 million euros.
Currently,
in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, work is underway to
release the film studio and the 10‑hectare land
plot it owns from collateral, as well as to settle credit obligations.
“Uzbekfilm”
should not be a symbol of crisis, but a symbol of national cinema,” Jahongir
Akhmedov wrote in his Telegram channel.
