"Since April 1, 2021, mass vaccination of the population against coronavirus has begun in our country, a total of 49.8 million doses of seven types of vaccines against COVID-19 have been delivered to our country so far. Another 12 million doses are expected to be delivered in the coming months.
It is known that currently coronavirus infection often mutates and adapts to the external environment. This requires further improvement of methods to combat it.
In particular, at the moment, world experts recommend that people who have received a full course of vaccination undergo revaccination. The fact is that over time, the number of antibodies formed after vaccination begins to decrease and falls to a level at which the body cannot protect itself.
Vaccination with a "booster", on the other hand, increases the body's resistance.
A booster dose can be vaccinated to persons who have received a full course of vaccination (2 or 3 doses), once, no earlier than six months or more after the first dose of the vaccine," D. Tursunova notes.
Why is it important to get vaccinated with a booster dose?
According to the head of the Department of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, Dilorom Tursunova.
