The solemn
ceremony took place at the official residence of Qasr Al-Watan, where the head
of state received credentials from newly appointed foreign ambassadors,
including the representative of Uzbekistan.
During the
conversation, the UAE President highly appreciated the state of bilateral
relations and wished the Ambassador success in further strengthening
multifaceted cooperation, especially in the trade, economic, investment and
tourism sectors.
The Emirati
side expressed its readiness to create the necessary conditions for Umid
Shodiev to effectively carry out his diplomatic mission.
In turn,
the ambassador conveyed sincere greetings and respect from the President of
Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the President of the UAE. He noted that,
thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two countries, relations at
the highest level have reached a qualitatively new stage, and stated his
readiness to make every effort to further expand the strategic partnership.
It should
be recalled that Umid Shodiev succeeded Abdulaziz Akkulov, who headed the
embassy of our country in the UAE from 2022 to 2025 and was appointed chairman
of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan in December 2025.
