Citizen
M.H. arrived in the Czech Republic in 2025, and then temporarily resided in the
Polish city of Wroclaw in connection with his work. In February 2026, during
his stay in Prague, his passport was stolen, after which he was left without
identity documents and faced difficulties in restoring his legal status and
returning to Uzbekistan, the Dunyo news agency reports.
After the
citizen's request, the Embassy promptly provided the necessary consular
assistance. As a result of the measures taken, the possibility of his
deportation was prevented, and a certificate of return to Uzbekistan was
issued.
In
addition, in cooperation with the Czech Ministry of the Interior, part of the
cost of the return flight was covered by the Czech side. Then the compatriot
returned safely to his homeland.
Uzbek
embassies abroad continue to provide assistance to citizens in difficult
circumstances and protect their rights and interests outside the country.
