During the visit, Uzbek
representatives studied the operations of livestock complexes and commercial
facilities in the Braslav, Shumilin, and Postav districts of the Vitebsk
region. Meetings were held between representatives of "Asl Yuksalish
Savdo" and "Muborak Qorako‘lchilik" enterprises and the
"Sirotinsky" livestock farm in the Shumilin district, resulting in
agreements to establish cooperative ties.
According to the
agreements, the Uzbek side will take a long-term lease of 4,000 hectares of
farmland. A large-scale project is planned for this land, the first stage of
which involves raising 1,000 head of cattle.
In addition to investments
in the agricultural sector, the export sector has also seen significant
development. "Asl Yuksalish Savdo" signed a contract with the major
retail chain "Dobronom" CJSC. Under the contract, 60,000 tons of
agricultural products will be delivered from Uzbekistan to Belarus annually,
including dried fruits, legumes, melons, and grapes.
Beyond the economic block,
the parties also focused on humanitarian ties. To boost tourism, it was decided
to organize reciprocal familiarization trips for travel business representatives
from both countries.
Additionally, during a
meeting with Yuriy Senko, Head of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, an
initiative to stage performances by the Kashkadaryo Regional Theater in Minsk
was supported.
