The
international dialogue platform is attended by heads of higher education
systems of the two countries, representatives of ministries and departments,
university rectors, as well as representatives of the academic community.
The opening
ceremony of the forum was attended by Minister of Higher Education, Science and
Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbai Sharipov, Minister of
Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulzat
Isamatova, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz
Republic Ulan Mamatkanov.
In their
speeches, the participants noted the current state of cooperation between the
two countries in the field of higher education and science, the results
achieved, and identified priority areas for further cooperation.
It was
emphasized that the forum is an important platform for strengthening the
strategic partnership between universities of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan,
expanding academic and scientific ties, developing student and faculty
mobility, as well as integrating education, science and business.
Within the
framework of the event, it is planned to sign cooperation agreements between
higher education institutions of the two countries, hold an exhibition of
student startup projects and discuss issues of sustainable development of
modern universities.
