During the
talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for expanding
Uzbek-Omani cooperation in the economic, investment and logistics spheres.
It was
noted that a solid foundation for mutually beneficial partnership has already
been formed between the two countries, while significant untapped potential
remains. In particular, 10 enterprises with the participation of Omani capital
operate in Uzbekistan, and about 20 new joint projects worth a total of 3.2
billion dollars are being worked out.
Following
the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening
cooperation, implementing new investment initiatives and expanding business
ties.
The
readiness of the Omani side to take an active part in the Tashkent
International Investment Forum, which will be held in the capital from June 16
to 18, was also emphasized.
