Following
the meeting, the parties signed a Joint Action Plan for 2026-2027.
During the
negotiations, the following issues were discussed:
priority
areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of intellectual
property, as well as the implementation of joint projects within the framework
of the current Memorandum;
issues of
professional development, organization of joint educational programs,
internships and seminars, as well as expansion of the exchange of experience in
the field of patent examination and patent office management;
prospects
for the introduction of a mechanism for accelerated review of patent
applications (Patent Prosecution Highway - PPH) and improving the efficiency of
patenting procedures;
the
development of public services in the field of intellectual property, the
introduction of digital solutions, as well as the expansion of cooperation to
improve the legal culture among business representatives, scientific and
educational institutions, and young inventors.
Following
the meeting, the parties noted that the implementation of the signed Joint
Action Plan would become a new stage in practical cooperation between
Uzbekistan and Russia, would facilitate the exchange of expertise, the
development of patent expertise, increase human resources and consistent
implementation of joint initiatives in the field of intellectual property.
