The
humanitarian cargo was solemnly handed over to the Iranian side at the
Artyk-Lutfobod checkpoint on the Turkmen-Iranian border.
The
ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshan
Alimov, Ambassador of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Rozbehani, khokim of
Dargaz Mojtaba Bazmar, representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry in
Khorasan province Razavi Heidari Fard, as well as representatives of customs,
medical and humanitarian organizations.
The Iranian
side expressed sincere gratitude to the President and the people of Uzbekistan
for their support during a difficult period.
As noted,
this humanitarian initiative has become another confirmation of the traditional
friendly relations, mutual respect and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran.
