During the visit, the heads of delegations were received by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During the meeting, issues of strengthening regional security and developing cooperation between law enforcement agencies were discussed. The importance of coordinating the efforts of the Central Asian countries and China in ensuring stability and public order was emphasized.

During the main part of the meeting, the parties discussed issues of increasing the effectiveness of the exchange of operational information and improving mechanisms to combat transnational crime. Special attention is paid to joint measures against drug trafficking, human trafficking, cybercrime and other types of international threats.

Issues of countering extremism and radicalization, including improving migration policy and strengthening preventive work among the population, were also discussed.

The directions of cooperation in the field of training and advanced training of law enforcement officers, including joint training programs, the exchange of specialists and the introduction of modern training methods, were considered separately.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has made a number of proposals, including:

strengthening cooperation in identifying and suppressing drug trafficking and financial channels of organized criminal groups;

prompt exchange of information about cybercrimes, fraudulent schemes, banned online resources and wanted persons;

appointment of responsible liaison officers to coordinate work on countering terrorism and extremism.

Uzbekistan's experience in the work of "working groups" aimed at preventing radicalization and social rehabilitation of people prone to extremist ideas is also presented. The meeting participants supported the initiative to introduce this experience in other countries of the region.

Following the meeting, a corresponding protocol was signed. This meeting in the Central Asia-China format was assessed as another important step towards strengthening regional cooperation in the field of security and law and order.
