During the event, the heads of delegations were received by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. Issues of strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and organized crime, ensuring cybersecurity, countering illegal migration and improving the safety of tourists were discussed at the meeting.

The Head of Tajikistan stressed the importance of further developing regional cooperation in the law enforcement sphere, as well as strengthening coordinated approaches to solving common tasks.

The meeting of the Council was also attended by the heads of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of relevant CIS structures.

The participants reviewed the priority areas of multilateral and bilateral cooperation, as well as the implementation of the Interstate Program of Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2029-2033.

During the meeting, a number of documents were signed related to information exchange, genomic data exchange, countering illegal migration, interstate search for individuals and cooperation in combating transnational crimes committed using information and communication technologies.

In addition, Uzbekistan's initiative to organize meetings of heads of cybercrime units of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states was supported. The relevant decision was unanimously approved and signed by the Council members.

This initiative is aimed at establishing a direct dialogue between the heads of relevant departments, rapid information exchange and strengthening cooperation in the fight against cross-border cybercrime.

Following the event, the parties agreed to develop cooperation at the institutional level and implement joint projects aimed at achieving practical results.
