On behalf
of the two governments, the document was signed by the Permanent Representative
of Uzbekistan to the United Nations, Ulugbek Lapasov, and the head of the
Vanuatu Mission to the United Nations, Odo Tevi, "Dunyo" news agency
reports.
During the
conversation, the importance of strengthening close cooperation between the
countries within the framework of international organizations, including the
United Nations and its specialized agencies, was emphasized.
The signing
of this document was another step towards expanding Uzbekistan's diplomatic
cooperation with the countries of the Pacific region.
On April
22, 2026, a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations
between Uzbekistan and Guinea-Bissau was signed at the Permanent Mission of
Uzbekistan to the United Nations in New York.
