The event brought together compatriots working and studying in Russia, representatives of 52 Uzbek diaspora, public and cultural organizations from various regions of the country, artists, creative groups, as well as residents of Moscow, reports the Dunyo news agency.

The program included musical and dance performances, a presentation of items from national crafts and traditional culture, and the serving of Uzbek dishes. Three types of plov — Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara — were also prepared for the guests and presented as part of the festive program.

The festive event at VDNH was also covered by the MIR 24 TV channel, which, in its video segment, talked about the national concert program, crafts, the Khorezm lyazgi, and the preparation of more than 1,000 servings of Uzbek plov.

In the afternoon, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev, Director of the Migration Agency Behzod Musaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Botirjon Asadov, and leaders of 52 diaspora associations.

The participants discussed issues related to supporting compatriots in Russia, including employment, providing legal assistance, and improving migration procedures. Special attention was paid to the activities of the 24‑hour operational headquarters and call center at the representative office of the Migration Agency in Moscow.

During the meeting, the participants also discussed the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of Uzbekistan in Russia, timely informing the Uzbek side about cases of citizens’ detention, ensuring compliance with their rights during migration activities, and prompt interaction on emerging issues.

Representatives of the diaspora were congratulated on the 25th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence and expressed gratitude for their assistance to their compatriots in finding employment, resolving emerging problems, and returning to their homeland. Their role in promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and shaping the country’s positive image in Russia was also noted.

Finally, the leaders of the most active diaspora organizations were awarded.
