Voter turnout reached a record high of 79.5%, marking one of the highest figures in Hungary's democratic history. Over the past two years, Magyar led an active nationwide campaign, uniting citizens tired of corruption and nepotism. He has promised to reform the education and healthcare systems, restore judicial independence, and intensify the fight against corruption.

Based on the election results, his party may secure more than the 133-seat two-thirds majority required to amend the constitution. Viktor Orban reportedly conceded defeat and congratulated Peter Magyar. He described the election results as "difficult and painful" while expressing gratitude to his supporters.
