Earlier, during a meeting with residents in the Karvonsaray neighborhood
held by Syrdarya region khakim Erkinjon Turdimov, the local community raised
the issue of waste not being removed on time. The appeal stated that waste
collection services were sometimes carried out once every two months.
Following this, a new procedure for collecting and removing household waste
was developed for the Karvonsaray, Khavosobod, and Yettiguzar neighborhoods.
According to the new rules, three modern electric motor vehicles have been
allocated to the three neighborhoods. They will collect household waste from
households and narrow streets where large waste collection vehicles find it
difficult to enter, transporting it to special temporary waste collection
points.
The collected waste is planned to be taken to the landfill by large special
transport vehicles on the very same day.
This system aims to quickly collect waste from households, reduce the need
for large vehicles to enter and exit every narrow street, and save transport
and time costs.
Currently, schedules for waste collection and removal are being developed
on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis.
Notably, the problem raised by the residents has found a practical
solution. Now, the main task is to operate the new system sustainably and
prevent the accumulation of waste in the neighborhoods.
