    More than 180,000 people took part in the UK biobank study, where scientists analyzed the relationship between food preferences and various physical indicators such as biomarkers, genetics, cognitive functions and brain imaging results.

    Information about the participants' eating habits was obtained through an online survey, where the products were divided into 10 groups, including meat products, fruits, alcoholic beverages and others. Artificial intelligence was used to analyze the information, writes bel.ru.

    The analysis of the participants' eating habits allowed us to identify four types of nutrition:

    the first type is characterized by a low starch content or its complete absence;

    the second one is vegetarian;

    The third type is characterized by a high protein content and low fiber content;

    the fourth one is balanced.

    The results of the study showed that the fourth subtype had high rates of cognitive function and the amount of gray matter in the brain. They also had good mental health results. For those who eat monotonously, the indicators were lower.

    With a decrease in sugar and fat intake, the body naturally begins to gravitate towards healthier foods. The lead author of the study, Professor Jianfeng Feng from the University of Warwick, stressed that the formation of healthy food preferences should begin from early childhood. A balanced and proper diet directly affects the physical development and growth of a child.
