Over 8,000 orphans to get $500 bank accounts from the state

As part of the "President’s Christmas Tree" events, over 8,000 orphans under 18 have received bank accounts. The state put $500 into a private account for each child. This was reported by the Social Protection Agency.

The money will grow every year. Once a child turns 18, they can use the money to start their adult life. Children over 9 and their guardians also received social cards for easy and safe payments. These cards are very useful: they allow for free or cheap bus rides, shopping, and getting social help. All spending can be tracked via the "Baraka" mobile app.

This support is for:

Orphans living in local neighborhoods.
Children in orphanages and SOS Children's Villages.
Children of soldiers who died protecting the country.
Children being treated at the "Taskin" hospice.

For children at the "Taskin" hospice, there is a special rule: the money in their bank account can be moved to a bank card at any time if the child's guardian asks for it.
