The foreign ministers noted the importance of further strengthening Uzbekistan – China comprehensive strategic partnership.

The schedule and agenda of upcoming events at the highest level were discussed.

An agreement was reached on holding, as the epidemiological situation improves, the next round of inter-MFA political consultations and meetings of the relevant subcommittees of Uzbekistan – China Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee.

The parties agreed to actively use the new formats of interaction to discuss relevant aspects of bilateral cooperation under quarantine restrictions.

Special attention was paid to issues of cooperation in preventing the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Foreign Ministers also considered the mechanisms to facilitate the launch of the peace negotiation process in Afghanistan.

Views were exchanged on interaction within the UN, SCO and other international structures.
