The ADM Jizzakh plant will produce 100,000 passenger cars annually

    President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the ADM Jizzakh automobile plant.

    Jizzakh region was one of the regions with the lowest industrial indicators. Today, the industry has entered every district of the region.

    The Jizzakh Free Economic Zone plays a significant role in the region’s industrial development, ranking third in the country in production volume and sixth in export volume. In recent years, its activities have improved, and production capabilities have expanded. 33 projects have been implemented in the industrial zone, employing 7,670 people.

    ADM Jizzakh LLC, founded in 2021, is one of the industrial zone’s successful enterprises. Over the past three years, 36 thousand cars of 23 types have been produced under the Kia, Chery, and Haval brands.

    As part of the project, $234 million was invested, and 1.8 thousand jobs were created.

    In the first stage, large-scale assembly production was established. At the same time, the plant was expanded, and new buildings and facilities were put into operation in March this year. Thus, high-tech production is organized, including stamping, welding, painting, and assembly.

    The Head of state became familiar with the production process at the plant.

    The enterprise is equipped with high-tech equipment supplied from South Korea, Japan, and Germany. The plant has 30 robots, and automation is 33 percent. Equipment has been installed to check the serviceability of the vehicle chassis and static and dynamic braking systems.

    The President instructed on increasing localization and enhancing cooperation with the country’s industrial enterprises.

    Work in this direction has already begun. In 2024-2027, it is planned to localize 348 types of components. Currently, cooperation has been established with 21 enterprises in the country.

    The enterprise has created the capacity to produce 100,000 passenger cars per year, and it plans to increase the number of jobs to 3,000.

    Qualified specialists from South Korea, India, China, and Vietnam were involved in improving the quality of cars. Starting this year, the first group of 50 engineers will be sent to research and design centers in South Korea and China for advanced training.

    During the visit, the Head of state got acquainted with the new Kia Sonet car, which had begun production at the plant.
