By decree, the Agency for Youth Affairs was transferred from the system of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports to the subordination of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Sports has been established on the basis of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports.

The Ministry of Sports and the Agency for Youth Affairs are the legal successors of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports in accordance with the relevant rights, obligations and treaties, including international treaties.

The Sports Support Fund under the Ministry of Sports and budgetary organizations of its system, the State Youth Policy Support Fund under the Agency for Youth Affairs, its territorial divisions and the Institute for the Study of Youth Problems and the Training of Promising Personnel, respectively, operate as extra-budgetary funds without the status of a legal entity with full preservation of the current procedure for the formation and use of funds;

draft normative legal acts that directly or indirectly affect the implementation of the state youth policy and the field of sports, as well as design documentation of infrastructure facilities, sports and youth facilities built at the expense of the State Budget, are necessarily coordinated with the Ministry of Sports and the Agency for Youth Affairs, respectively.
