According to the decree, the Bukhara State Technical University will be established on the basis of the Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Bukhara Institute of Natural Resource Management.

The University will establish an Advanced engineering school in the field of oil and gas engineering.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year:

· A system will be introduced to assess the performance of University students in academic subjects, as well as the effectiveness of the teaching staff based on international experience.;

· Teachers and doctoral students of the University will be sent to leading foreign higher education and research organizations for scientific internships and advanced training.;

· Large manufacturing enterprises and organizations will be assigned to the University as industrial partners.;

· From January 1, 2026, the university will be granted academic, organizational and financial independence.
