As society develops, people’s demands also grow, and new needs for construction and the creation of modern amenities appear.
The Yunusabad dehkan market in Tashkent is always lively, but a lack of space hampers its further expansion. In addition, traffic on the adjacent streets is overloaded. In this regard, it was decided to develop the market according to a modern concept – “in height”, increasing retail space and improving infrastructure.
According to the project, a three-story eco-market will be built on the site of the existing market, preserving its traditional appearance. An additional shopping center and a jewelry store will be located nearby. Most importantly, an underground parking lot for more than a thousand cars will be arranged under the buildings. The project will create 4-5 thousand new jobs. The President instructed those responsible to organize the construction in stages so that the market continues to operate normally.
The next project concerns the improvement of parks and the creation of new recreation areas. In the Abdulla Qodiriy Park in Tashkent, it is planned to increase the area of green spaces, effectively using the terrain, and equip walking areas, fountains, a new planetarium and a gastro-hall to attract tourists. The new objects will harmoniously fit into the Chorsu market and Old City ensemble.
The President emphasized the importance of improving the conditions in the park and reflecting national traditions.
“These are good plans, but it is also necessary to add national flavor. It is essential to reflect the city’s history here and our people’s traditions. Regardless of age, each person should find a place they like in the park”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Dustlik (Friendship) Park will also be updated and become a modern recreation place. Walking paths, ponds, and recreation areas will be reconstructed, and new benches will be installed. A family entertainment area, a children’s creativity center, a skate park, an aviary, and a Ferris wheel will be created.
The Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries is located on the territory of the park. It is planned to build pavilions of national cultural centers in the adjacent area. Each pavilion will be designed in a style that reflects the unique culture and traditions of the people it will represent. The pavilions will harmoniously complement the ensemble of the Dustlik Park.
At the initiative of the President, Navruz Park was created in Tashkent in 2019, which has now become one of the most popular and well-appointed places in the city center. To expand the capabilities of this park, it is planned to build a hotel, an indoor sports complex, a restaurant and a conference hall.
As part of the integrated development of regions, new microdistricts, parks, and recreation areas are being created throughout the country. In particular, New Uzbekistan parks were built in Nurafshan and Namangan cities. The following projects are aimed at increasing their effectiveness and attracting more guests.
Tourist centers with an oriental bazaar, craft zones, an amphitheater, fountains, and other structures will be organized near the New Uzbekistan parks in Nurafshan and Namangan. The area of green spaces will be increased by planting new trees.
The President instructed to ensure these projects’ high-quality implementation and to create comfortable conditions for residents and tourists.
