According to the Report, this was reported by the state Disaster Management Department.

"The total number of deaths due to the monsoon has reached 240, including 125 deaths from rain-related incidents such as landslides, flash floods and heavy rains, and 115 deaths from road accidents," the department said.

Two national highways remain blocked, disrupting vital communications with mountainous areas. Interruptions in electricity and water supply are being recorded in the region.

Many landslide monitoring stations across the state are currently not operational, raising concerns about timely warnings and disaster preparedness during the ongoing monsoon season.
