According to the data of the Uzhydromet service, today and tomorrow the predominance of low-cloud and moderately hot weather will remain in the republic. The air temperature will remain within 33-38oC, in Surkhandarya region in places up to 42-44oC.
On Sunday, a new portion of relatively cool and humid air from the Caucasus regions will spread to the territory of Uzbekistan. Clouds are expected to increase in the republic, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in places in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi regions. The temperature will drop by another 2-4oC, to the values of 31-34o comfortable for summer, in places up to 38-40oC in the south. The coolness will be felt well at night and in the morning, the night temperature will drop to 15-18oC.
Today, in the south and the desert zone, on June 24-25, in places in the republic, the wind is expected to increase to 13-18 m/s, in some areas up to 20-23 m/s, with a dusty snowfall. Short-term thunderstorms are possible in places in the foothills and mountainous areas on June 24-25.
In the capital, there is a small, at times partly cloudy, no precipitation, the wind is easterly with a transition to a westerly 3-8 m/s, by Saturday evening and on Sunday it may increase to 12-15 m/s. The air temperature is June 23-24, 34-36oC, June 25, 31-33oC.
