It has been proven that taking medications with milk increases their effectiveness

A new study conducted at Monash University has shown that consuming a combination of human and cow's milk significantly increases the effectiveness of certain medications.

Previous experiments have shown that milk improves the absorption of various medications, including antimalarial drugs and praziquantel, which is used to treat parasitic infections.

Recent studies have shown that this product, which is available in almost every home, can improve the absorption of medications by the body. This is especially important in the treatment of children.

The term "bioavailability" refers to the degree to which a drug enters the bloodstream. It depends on several factors, including the pH level of the stomach and intestines. In addition, absorption is influenced by enzymes and metabolism in the gastrointestinal tract.

Our bodies are mostly made up of water - if the medicine is poorly soluble in water, then only part of it will enter the bloodstream. Lipophilic drugs require fat to dissolve and properly assimilate (which is why doctors recommend taking some pills with meals).

Due to the high fat content in milk, substances that are poorly soluble in water are effective when mixed with human or cow's milk.

In animal experiments, scientists found that medicines mixed with milk were absorbed 175 percent more efficiently.

However, there are certain problems associated with the use of milk in medical products in low- and middle-income countries. For example, due to limited access to refrigeration, such practices may be difficult to implement in the lives of ordinary people in Africa. Therefore, scientists are trying to develop safe and effective milk formulas. These formulas should be comfortable for a wide range of patients, even in hot climates.

Further research in this area may help to develop more effective and safer medicines for children. This is a very urgent problem, especially in developing countries with limited resources.

Milk helps improve the absorption of certain medications due to the fats, proteins, and carbohydrates it contains. Some vitamins and medications are better absorbed with fats. Proteins bind to the active ingredients of drugs, slowing their release and prolonging their duration of action.
