Electricity for customs - on special conditions

    Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 24.10.2023 No. 560 "On amendments and additions to some decisions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the establishment of additional measures to further improve customs administration" was adopted.

    In the context of the growth of the country's foreign trade turnover, the development of cross-border e-commerce, as well as efforts to achieve full digitalization of the customs sphere, it is necessary to strengthen the social protection of workers and introduce anti-corruption factors.

    In accordance with Presidential Decree No. UP-122 dated 04/27/2022 "On Additional measures to further improve customs administration", the document introduced amendments and additions to the existing NPA, which provide for:

    • inclusion of customs authorities in the list of consumer enterprises to which electricity is supplied under special conditions;
    • reduction of the advance payment from 100% to 50% when exporting based on an invoice;
    • the export of goods placed under the customs regime of processing in the customs territory is carried out during export customs clearance on the basis of the criterion of sufficient processing;
    • approval of the requirement to make additions related to the change of the foreign partner country to the cargo customs declaration when carrying out foreign trade operations;
    • the possibility of making changes to the data of foreign trade contracts in the unified electronic information system of foreign trade operations without additional agreements.
