Ferghana and the Chinese city of Shangluo have become twin cities

    During the visit of a trade and economic delegation from the city of Shangluo (Shaanxi Province, China) to Uzbekistan, a protocol on establishing twinning relations was signed between Shangluo and the administrative center of the Ferghana region, the city of Ferghana.

    According to the Shaanxi Daily, this is the fifth such agreement for the city of Shangluo. It is aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, culture and education.

    Shangluo is located on the southern slopes of the eastern part of the Qinling Range and borders the provinces of Hubei and Henan. The area of the city is 19.3 thousand square kilometers; the population is about 2.02 million people. The municipality consists of one urban district and six counties.

    The Shangluo authorities intend to continue expanding international relations and strengthening cooperation with foreign partners.
