Interpol: Malaysia extradited a woman accused of human trafficking to Uzbekistan

    Malaysian law enforcement agencies have secured the extradition of an Uzbek citizen wanted for criminal prosecution for human trafficking.

    This is reported by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    "Accompanied by the staff of the Interpol National Security Service in the Republic of Uzbekistan, an Uzbek citizen was extradited from Kuala Lumpur to Tashkent, who was wanted through Interpol channels by our law enforcement agencies for human trafficking and had been hiding in Malaysia for a long time under changed personal data," the message says.

    It is noted that she was identified and detained thanks to joint actions and operational information support between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Kuala Lumpur, as well as with the direct assistance of representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia.

    After the decision of the Malaysian authorities to extradite the wanted criminal, accompanied by Interpol officers, she was taken to Uzbekistan to be punished as she deserved.
