Iran has abolished the visa regime for Uzbek citizens

    The Iranian government has abolished the visa regime for citizens of 32 countries. This is reported by the Tehran Times with reference to the country's Minister of Tourism Izatullah Zarghami.

    The Minister noted that the ministry's proposal to unilaterally cancel visas for some countries was approved by the government.

    Visa-free countries include India, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Venezuela, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Belarus, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and Seychelles.

    Uzbekistan is also included in this list. In addition, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan from Central Asia are now included in the new visa-free regime.
