Iran has closed its airspace: a number of flights have returned

Iran has closed its airspace to all flights except for specially authorized flights. As a result, a number of international flights were forced to return to their departure airports.

This is reported by Uzbekistan Airports.

It is noted that Fly One Asia flight 7Q7742 (Medina - Tashkent) returned to Medina Airport. The airline's flight 7Q4442 (Medina - Ferghana) was also forced to land at the Medina airport.

Jazeera Airways flight J9650 (Tashkent - Kuwait) took off from Tashkent at 02:01 local time, but returned to Tashkent International Airport.

Sam Air Flight 9C3303 (Samarkand - Jeddah) took off at 02:04 local time and landed back at Samarkand Airport.

Fly Khiva Flight 2U7911 (Urgench - Medina) took off from Urgench at 02:17 and returned to Urgench Airport.

Uzbekistan Airways flight HY336 (Jeddah - Tashkent) was also forced to return to Jeddah Airport due to the closure of Iran's airspace.
