As part of the next stage of international cooperation, an Uzbek citizen, born in 1989, who was put on the wanted list in 2023, was identified and detained in New York.
According to the Interior Ministry, the man is accused of committing a crime under part 2 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After his detention, he was deported to Uzbekistan in accordance with the established procedure.
The ministry noted that the internal affairs bodies will continue operational search activities to identify persons hiding from the investigation and the court, regardless of their location, to ensure the inevitability of responsibility.
