Today, for the first time in the history of air communication between Uzbekistan and Israel, a charter flight on the Tel Aviv - Samarkand route has been opened, the correspondent of the Dunyo news agency reports.

The flight is operated by the private airline "Qanot Sharq". The liner with 150 passengers on board took off at 10:10 a.m. in Tel Aviv (12.10 p.m. in Tashkent) and will arrive in Samarkand at 17:00 local time.

The airline started its operations in 1998. All these years, the airline has been steadily developing – it has performed hundreds of successful air cargo and passenger flights.

Today, the airline "Qanot Sharq" is the owner of four aircraft operating not only domestic, but also international flights.

The opening ceremony of the flight was attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel Firuza Mahmudova, as well as representatives of Israeli official, public and business circles.

Since February 2018, Uzbekistan has introduced a visa-free regime for Israeli citizens for up to 30 days. In 2022, about 12 thousand Israeli tourists visited our country.
