The procedure for obtaining disability has been changed

    Resolution No. 62 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 8, 2022 "On approval of normative legal acts on the organizational structure and organization of the activities of the medical and social expertise service" was adopted.

    The document was adopted pursuant to Presidential Decrees No. UP-6195 dated 25.03.2021 "On social support for the elderly and persons with disabilities, as well as the further development of the system of boarding houses "Sakhovat" and "Muruvvat", dated 28.01.2022 No. UP-60 "On the development Strategy of new Uzbekistan for 2022-2026", as well as Presidential Decree No. PP-22 dated 27.11.2021 "On measures to further improve the activities of the medical and social expertise service and the system for establishing disability for children".

    The resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for conducting a survey of citizens by medical and social expert commissions.

    Thus, the examination of citizens is carried out by sending a citizen to the medical and social expert commissions (hereinafter - MSEC) for examination (form 088/y). The examination also includes the study of the medical history issued by the hospital and extracts from outpatient cards, as well as other documents that served as the basis for sending a citizen for examination. The inspection is carried out at the meeting of the MCEC in full, as well as within 10 days from the date of receipt of documents. When determining disability, it is considered to have occurred since the adoption of the MSEC documents.

    The document also approved:

    • organizational structure of the medical and Social expertise service of the Agency for the Development of Medical and Social Services;
    • structure of the Republican Inspection of Medical and Social Expertise of the Agency for the Development of Medical and Social Services;
    • standard compositions of the main medical and social expert commissions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, inter-district, district (city), specialized and pediatric medical and social expert commissions;
    • the list of medical and social expert commissions for conducting free examinations in state medical institutions equipped with the necessary equipment, etc.

    The document was published in the National Database of Legislation and entered into force on 08.02.2022, reports "Norma".
