Insta360, a Chinese camera manufacturing company from the southern province of Guangdong, has launched a "Lose Weight and Make Money" challenge for its employees. The rules are simple: for every 500 grams dropped, management pays 500 yuan ($70). However, there is a downside: the employee will have to pay for the gained weight. Each 500 grams collected costs 800 yuan ($112), according to the Shanghai City News Service.
It is reported that no one has been fined yet. Moreover, 99 employees joined the campaign, who lost a total of 950 kg and earned a total of 1 million yuan ($139,389).
