During the year, tourist roadshows were held in major cities and provinces of China, and Uzbekistan presented its national stand at significant tourism exhibitions in Xi'an, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Special attention was paid to establishing direct contacts between the tourism entrepreneurs of the two countries. Within the framework of the events, B2B negotiations were organized with more than 500 Chinese travel companies and over 40 cooperation agreements were signed.
Since June 1, 2025, a visa-free regime has been introduced between Uzbekistan and China, which has greatly simplified travel and opened up new opportunities for the development of the tourism industry.
As a result, 217,000 tourists from China arrived in Uzbekistan from January to October 2025. By the end of the year, this figure is expected to reach 250,000.
It is noteworthy that the results achieved exceed the target for 2025 - 180,000 tourists - by 40% and are 3.7 times higher than last year. This indicates that the goal set by the head of state to attract one million tourists from China is being implemented at an accelerated pace.
