The President examined the conditions in Namangan’s Dashtbog mahalla. He visited the houses of Ismail Kirgizov and Malika Parpiyeva. Their neighbors joined the conversation with the owners.

“I want to talk more with ordinary people, face to face, to understand what they are striving for”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The interlocutors, using the example of their lives, told about the results of the attention paid to the mahalla system. They noted that social problems are being solved, living conditions are improving.

“Why are we throwing all our strength on the mahalla? Illuminating one street in the center will not make people happy. Who will listen to our people, women, youth in mahallas?! There are problems in 141 mahallas of Namangan region – in some places, there are no roads, somewhere there is no water, somewhere there is a high level of unemployment. Understanding these shortcomings and taking them into account, we came with great funds. And who will control this, who will think about the people? Mahalla, public. Now the chairman of the mahalla must work in a new way and alleviate the worries of people”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The Head of the state got acquainted with the building of a citizens’ assembly of Dashtbog mahalla, a branch of the Center for Public Services located here.
