Ministry of Foreign Affairs: measures are being taken to protect Uzbek citizens detained at UAE airports

Due to reports of delays in passport control at UAE airports for foreign citizens, including Uzbek citizens, the situation is being intensively monitored.

According to the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Akhror Burkhanov, all necessary measures are being taken to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Uzbeks. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai have held talks with the relevant UAE authorities and are in constant contact with them.

According to the Emirati side, the reason for the temporary delays was the increased security measures against the background of major international events in the country.

Currently, thanks to the measures taken, an accelerated procedure for border control has been organized, and Uzbek citizens have already begun to enter the territory of the UAE.
