Uzbek Foreign Ministry: there are no Uzbek citizens among the victims of the plane crash in India

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has expressed its deep condolences to the families of those killed in the plane crash that occurred on June 12 in the Indian city of Ahmedabad (Gujarat).

    According to the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Akhror Burkhanov, according to preliminary data, no Uzbek citizens were registered among the passengers of the crashed flight.

    The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of Air India Airlines, operating flight AI 171 to London, crashed shortly after takeoff, falling on the dormitory of the medical college. There were 244 people on board.

    According to the Indian side, the death toll is at least 290 people, more than 60 were hospitalized. One of the passengers survived, British citizen Vishvashkumar Ramesh, who has already contacted relatives.
