The project was implemented through cooperation between the Forestry Agency and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The total value of the project, which spans from 2024 to 2028, amounts to 7.7 million USD.

The complex features 14 "smart" greenhouses equipped with automated systems to monitor temperature and other climate indicators. These technologies allow for water conservation, reduced manual labor, and the cultivation of high-quality saplings.

Growing the saplings in specialized containers facilitates their transportation to mountainous areas and makes planting easier.

The project aims to propagate trees and shrubs adapted to the local climate, establish new green zones, and prevent desertification.

For reference, 101.6 million young plants and saplings are being cultivated across 1,035 hectares of forestry land during the first 9 months of this year.
