Agreements secure the results of the negotiations

    Following the talks, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a Joint Statement.

    In the presence of the heads of state, a ceremony was held to exchange important bilateral agreements. In particular, these are:

    – Joint Action Plan to enhance interaction in priority areas of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation;

    – Intergovernmental Agreement on the provision of technical assistance to the Republic of Uzbekistan in metrology;

    – Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in joint film production;

    – Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population;

    – Agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on holding joint competitions in scientific technologies;

    – Protocol on introducing amendments to the Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in fisheries;

    – Cooperation Program in culture for 2024-2026;

    – Cooperation Program to increase tourist flow for 2025-2026;

    – Joint Action Plan between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation to enhance industrial cooperation to increase trade turnover between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation;

    – Plan between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on the main areas of activity of the working group to increase the volume of mutual trade between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation for 2024-2030;

    – Agreement between the Agency of Plant Protection and Quarantine under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on digital cooperation in phytosanitary;

    – Practical Measures Plan to develop cooperation in quarantine and plant protection between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation for 2024-2025;

    – Memorandum between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on the creation of a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Bauman Moscow State Technical University”.

    – Cooperation protocols between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on organizing healthcare and regulation of medicines for medical use, medical devices, and high-tech methods of treatment;

    – Cooperation agreements in the construction of a low-power nuclear power plant on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

    – Agreement on opening a branch of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade in Tashkent;

    – Cooperation documents in transport engineering, development of the civil aviation systems industry, increasing tourist exchange, implementation of humanitarian projects in Tashkent, creation of agro-logistic centers, and modern chemical production.
