Two strong solar flares of the penultimate power class occurred on the night of August 12, the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI "IPG") told TASS.
"At 03.59 Moscow time, an M1.5 flare lasting 34 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range in the 4168 (N03W89) spot group and at 04.23 Mack, an M1.8 flare lasting nine minutes was recorded in the X-ray range in the 4168 (N05W89) spot group," the IPG reported.
