    On October 10 of this year, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis hosted a meeting of senators with the chairmen of the Kizlarjon Club of higher educational institutions and the Women's Advisory Council.

    During the meeting, the senators spoke about the essence and significance of the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years.

    It was emphasized that comprehensive support for women in our country is a priority. This provides for the creation of broad opportunities for their education, vocational training, employment, increased social and political activity, as well as conditions for the realization of their abilities and potential in various fields.

    During the meeting, detailed explanations were given about the essence and significance, goals and objectives, as well as priority areas of the Uzbekistan 2030 strategy. The importance of the new norms of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was also discussed.

    During the dialogue, it was noted that the social protection of women in the country has been raised to the level of state policy. They discussed increasing women's socio-political activity, ensuring gender equality and protecting those in difficult social conditions by ensuring their employment, effective measures to protect women from harassment and violence, strengthening family values, as well as the essence of the normative legal acts adopted in this regard.

    In addition, they focused on one of the most important political processes in Uzbekistan - parliamentary elections and local Kengashes.

    It was emphasized that parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan are held for the first time in accordance with the new version of the Constitution and the amendments made to the electoral legislation. Information was also provided on the large-scale preparatory work carried out as part of the election campaign.
