Earthquake hits southern Turkey

    An earthquake occurred in southern Turkey, one woman was killed, and 69 more people were injured, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on the social network X.

    The tremors were recorded at 02.17 Moscow time near the Turkish resort of Marmaris. The hearth was located at a depth of 67 kilometers, and there was a swamp nearby ria.ru.

    According to the minister, the tremors were felt in Mugla province and a number of others, no damage was recorded.

    "Fourteen-year-old Afranur Gunlu in Fethiye experienced a panic attack at the time of the earthquake and was hospitalized, but she could not be saved," Yerlikaya wrote.

    Another 69 people were injured after jumping from a great height in a panic, 46 of them were hospitalized, the minister added.
