Press Service of the Ministry of Digital Technologies based on data from the
"Speedtest Global Index" ranking.
In August, Uzbekistan rose
by three positions in the ranking for both mobile and wired internet speeds.
In particular, the download
speed for mobile internet increased from 62.42 Mbps to 65.27 Mbps. As a result,
Uzbekistan climbed from 75th to 72nd place in the ranking.
Thus, our country has risen
by 65 positions in mobile internet speed over the past 5 years.
The download speed for
wired internet also increased from 94.23 Mbps to 94.50 Mbps in a single month.
Uzbekistan's position in the ranking rose from 76th to 73rd.
At the same time, among CIS
countries, Uzbekistan occupies the first place in terms of wired internet
speed.
According to data, since
the beginning of 2026, the download speed of mobile internet has increased by
27 percent over eight months. The indicator rose from 51.42 Mbps to 65.27 Mbps.
The "Speedtest Global
Index" regularly publishes internet speed indicators by country and
region.
