Speaking at the opening ceremony, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Avazjon Tojikhanov noted that in recent years the relations of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries have been actively developing. Cultural and humanitarian ties that bring the two nations closer together occupy a special place in this process. He stressed that the installation of the bust of the great thinker Ahmed Al-Ferghani in the Ankara park has great spiritual significance.
In turn, the mayor of Ankara's Kechioren district stressed in his speech that Ahmad Al-Ferghani's scientific legacy is a source of pride and inspiration not only for Uzbeks, but also for all Turkic peoples. He stated that the purpose of perpetuating the name of the thinker is to encourage the younger generation to knowledge and enlightenment.
The Deputy Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, TURKSOY Sayid Yusuf, emphasized the invaluable contribution of Ahmad al-Ferghani's discoveries in the field of astronomy, geography and mathematics, and the development of world science. He stated that the initiative to install this bust as a symbol of the unity of the Turkic states deserves high praise.
At the end of the ceremony, a concert was held, which made a great impression on the audience and gave the event a festive spirit.
