Prospects of expansion of Uzbek-Indian relations discussed

On July 24 of this year, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade J. Khodjayev held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Prabhat, at which the progress of the current trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries was discussed.

During the conversation, favorable prerequisites for deepening bilateral partnership and expanding direct contacts at all levels were noted.

The Uzbek side shared plans to hold talks with Indian partners to intensify cooperation in the fields of healthcare and pharmaceuticals, agriculture, veterinary medicine and animal husbandry. In addition, the prospects for the development of transport corridors connecting our countries were touched upon.

Support was expressed for the speedy development and adoption of a program for the development of cooperation in trade, economic, investment, transport, scientific, educational and humanitarian spheres between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India for 2022-2023.

Following the results of the negotiations, further steps were identified to deepen the partnership and implement the agreements reached, the press service of MIFT RUz reports.
